It can take a long time to build up an email list and a social media following. Why not piggyback onto someone who already has a following? Podcasting can humanize us and our brand and lets the audience get to know us quickly. Being a podcast guest can puts you in front of a whole new set of followers. LinkedIn can help you get the attention of podcast hosts! The first step is to find podcast hosts whose audience is similar to your target clients. Listen to a few episodes and make a note of something that you liked or even that you disagreed with. Find the podcast hosts on LinkedIn and send them a *personalized* connection request, mentioning that one piece that resonated with you. Ask them if they think their audience would be interested in your subject, and if they are looking for guests. They usually are! After I updated my LinkedIn Profile, I found many podcast hosts reached out to me because they were interested in hearing my story. Add a link to your guest spot in your Featured section.
